Who they are:
Capriccio Elite supports adults and children (age 5 and up) who experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Their services meet people where they are through in-home supports, group home services, respite, personal assistance, companion care, community engagement and coaching, service facilitation, and community guide services, Capriccio Elite shows up in homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools across the region.

What stood out on the visit
- Advocacy isn’t an add-on at Capriccio Elite. It’s core to who they are. This isn’t an organization that just delivers services and calls it a day. They’re paying close attention to the policies and local systems that determine whether people with disabilities actually have real options in their communities.
- The staff’s dedication is the kind you can’t fake. You could feel it in the way they talked about the people they serve, not as clients, but as people they genuinely care about. It showed when Gail and Janisa lit up telling a story about a small win, and in how the conversation kept circling back to “what’s best for this community” instead of “what’s easiest for us.”
- There’s a real sense of togetherness across the organization. Nobody seemed to be operating in a silo. Care for staff and for the people they serve was evident from the top down.
